For nature lovers, we have a special excursion you won’t want to miss! Horseback ride deep into the tropical rainforest of the Sierra de Vallejo overflowing with varied conifers and oaks, on the way to our refuge, Rancho el Jaguar, at the top of the rainforest in the mountains of the Sierra Madre Occidental. Then dismount and hiking along narrower trails to hidden places that are only accessible by foot. Breathe deep and admire the extraordinary landscapes, flora and fauna, all while enjoying this privileged natural setting of winding trails. This is some of the best hiking in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
Tequila tasting or craft beer tasting at the organic gourmet restaurant of Rancho el Jaguar at the end of the tour, transportation from our pickup points, pets allowed, hammock area, WiFi to upload a photo of your excursion, facilities for people with reduced mobility.
RecomendationsWear closed shoes, long pants, light jacket, camera, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and insect repellent. The tour is not recommended for people with limited mobility, respiratory or heart problems or other serious medical conditions, pregnant women, persons weighing more than 114 kg. The use of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited - you will be denied access to the tour.
RestrictionsMinimum age of the rider: 6 years onwards (riders, from 6 to 13 years old, may participate in the tour, doubling on a horse with their accompanying adult. Riders, 14 years old and older, will ride individual horses.)
A Great Adventure Oh, what fun we had! Hugo, our guide, greeted us with smiles and toured us through the Sierra Madre Mountains and through the dry river beds of the forest. We went up and down hills as well as through a “man-made waterfall” it was fantastic! Hugo pointed out interesting facts along the way. We had a few beers, tequila and snacks at the end, a perfect way to end the excursion. We fully enjoyed every minute!

The Best Tour! The entire Jaguar Xtreme team was amazing. The ATVs are new and automatic, so driving them was amazing. The route was nice, we were able to take pictures high in the mountains along the way. Drink lots of water and use the bathroom before departing! When we arrived at ‘the viewpoint’, I didn't feel well due to the heat, but Hugo and his staff were very helpful in making me feel better by giving me comfort and water It was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone!
